I may not be quite as quick and efficient at finishing craft projects as Hayley, but I wanted to put something on this cute blog she created . . . so here is my "spring has sprung" banner. Emily, Betsy, Hayley and I went to Material Girls fabric store several months ago and bought cute charms packs. They all sewed colorful "happy birthday" banners, but I decided to make something slightly different. I may be the slowest one to finish my banner . . . but I'm no worse than the real season of spring which has taken it's dear sweet time springing this year.

Receiving Blanket
Ever since we found out Betsy was having a girl
I have been itching to make something cute and girly,
and this blanket was just the thing!
I got the idea from here.
The polka dot print is flannel, but the flower
print is some kind of knit. It's a really stretchy
fabric that I will never use again.
It wasn't too terribly hard to sew with, but it distorts
really bad so the two pieces don't match up very well.
All in all the whole project took about 3 hours,
and now that I've done it I'm sure will take even less
the next time around.
Hope Baby Girl Shaw enjoys it!
