Tree Skirt

I found this tutorial for a cute Christmas tree skirt and I'm excited to get started on making my own. I just finished getting my supplies and the goal is to be done by Thanksgiving weekend so I can start decorating! Anyone else want to make one? I bought 5/8 yard of four different kinds of fabric (most Christmas fabric is on sale here) instead of the eight kinds in the example. I'll post a finished picture soon enough but don't say I didn't give you notice for making one too--I know you'll be jealous!
